Things I do… especially lately…
-Make sock monkey/kitties like the one above.
-Read awesome books, such as The Hours. Beautiful, tragic, amazing. I’m ashamed it’s taken me so long to read it. But glad Bess urged me to tackle it.
-Drink coffee. Today with my dear friend, Jen. In theory a working coffee date, in reality a catch-up date.
-Cook delicious meals using tomatoes from the farmers’ market.
-Go for long evening walks.
-Think, plan, do stuff for Out for Justice.

Unexpectedly great day. At Elana’s softball game I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Rylie Joseph… Kathy & Lee-Ann’s beautiful, perfect 16 day old son. He is tiny and perfect and amazing. Few things are more wonderful than holding a baby- a bundle of innocence and sweetness.
I also had a wonderful brunch with Sara & Dan… followed by book shopping with them. Also a favorite activity. I came away with a couple treats to myself, including a book of folktales by Calvino.
A little work, some gelato & coffee, and I’ll be ending the day with reading.
Out of nowhere… a good day in this less than perfect summer.

I know, I know… a lack of updates lately. I’m just not feeling it. I terribly miss my cat, having my own apartment, and my career. I’m happy Keiko is being taken care of, that I have somewhere warm & welcoming to live temporarily, and that I’m working part-time at Enjoy… but I really miss my life. Sigh… hopefully one of the three things changes very soon.
In other news- check out the cutest Japanese eraser that we got in at the store. Today I devoted time to making a wall display of these cuties.

Slugger & Auntie Ella hanging out for a bit! I took my favorite nephew dog out for a walk & hung out with him & my cat for a bit tonight.
